At some point, Jadru set her eyes on the Ewoks' sunstar, a powerful object that had a variety of uses, including the ability to increase one's own magical talents. To seize the stone, Jadru sent out her pet Quarf to capture the Ewoks' princess, Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka so that she could ransom her for possession of the sunstar. After "Silky," as the young Ewok children had named her pet, infiltrated the village, the Quarf captured Kneesaa and brought her back to Jadru's lair.
