Len Marten (10th January 1920 - 1990) appeared on Coronation Street sporadically between December 1986 and September 1987 as Tom Hopwood, the maternal uncle of Sally Webster. The Manchester-born actor started out as a child actor. His credits from the 1950s onwards include roles in The Charlie Chester Show, Odd Man Out, Selwyn, Fawlty Towers, Boon, The Practice and The Manageress.
