Ben Gilroy was the Assistant Chief for the Los Angeles Police Department. He was also a friend and supporter of Vic Mackey. He was later forced out of his job due to corruption charges but fled to Mexico with the help of Mackey. About a year later, he was found dead in Mexico. Ben had been married twice, the second time to Nancy Gilroy with whom he had two daughters.
