Saluso VII was a second cousin of Emperors Alman VII and Alia IV, presumably a descendant of Alman V. He succeeded his cousins to the throne but apparently had no legal heirs. As a result, the House of Alman Corrino ended and he was succeeded by James Shi-lang of House of Shi-Lang forming the Second Protectorate
