Huntington's Chorea, also known as Huntington's Disease (HD) is an inherited neurological disease that causes certain nerve cells in the brain to waste away. Those afflicted with the disease are born with the defective gene responsible for the disease, although symptoms don't start appearing until middle age. Early symptoms of the disease might include uncontrolled movements, clumsiness, or balance problems, with later symptoms taking away the ability to walk, talk, or swallow. In some cases, it also causes lost memories of family members, while in others, they are aware of their environment and able to express emotions.
