Lyndon B. Johnson was the 36th president of the United States from 1963 to 1969. He was the first president to be sworn in on Air Force One. He became president on November 22, 1963 after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, but was elected in his own right in 1964. He did not seek reelection in 1968.
