The Rufous-winged Philentoma (Philentoma pyrhoptera), is a species of passerine. Long placed in the Muscicapidae (Old World flycatchers) family when these were used as a "wastebin taxon", they are now tentatively assigned to the Tephrodornithidae pending detailed study. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
