SPARTAN Group December is a group mostly composed of SPARTAN-IIIs pulled from either Alpha or Beta Company, with the exception of two SPARTAN-IIs and one SPARTAN-IV as of 2558. Each SPARTAN in the group is assigned to one of four fireteams (excluding Fireteam Locust as it only entered planning stage in late 2552) There are typically between four to six SPARTANs in each fireteam, of which each fireteam leader reports to Sam-A242, the Group Commander and Fireteam Dagger’s leader. Group December has served in many campaigns and was officially formed in 2549.However, the majority of the SPARTAN Group was wiped out during the Fall of Reach, leaving the rest either active, MIA, unknown or retasked by ONI elsewhere.
