The Huge Plant's vines are shown to grew to the point where it can take over a building with its large tough vines. Only certain type of solvent is able to make the vines wither, opening various parts of the hospital that are covered in the plant's thick growths. As the Huge Plant grows over months, the vines entangling the hospital had become the building's only support; this is shown when the survivors injected solvent liquid into the plant's throbbing parts, withering the plant's growths, the hospital slowly fall into ruins. After the final battle with the plant's core, the Huge Plant's vines and tentacles began to wilt, eventually leaving the entire hospital to crumb and cave in.
