During the Civil War event, heroes Misty Knight and Colleen Wing were told by Iron Man, Reed Richards, and Spider-Man to start up another Heroes for Hire team with the mission of finding heroes that did not comply with the active Superhuman Registration Act. The two then created a team including themselves Shang-Chi, Humbug, Orka, Black Cat, Paladin and a new Tarantula, with Spider-Man as an often ally.
