Alutai is a continent and administrative division found in the north hemisphere of Hexar. It is the location of Donimor, capital of the Hexarian Star Republic, as well as being the landmass on which the Hexarian's ancestors first progressed to a Type E civilisation. Its name in Dorenum means "Starland". It is not a particularly large continent, but Hexar's seasonless axis results in small changes of latitude having a large effect on climate. As such, Alutai's climate ranges from the icy tundra in Itaris Province to the intensely hot sands of Nyrell Province.
