John Challis (born 16th August, 1942) is a British comic actor best known for his role as shifty used car salesman Aubrey "Boycie" Boyce in classic BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses and its spin-off The Green Green Grass. John has played two different roles on Coronation Street, rowdy football supporter George Naylor in November and December 1967. He returned to the programme as Det Con, later Det Sgt Norman Phillips appearing in October 1974, January to February 1975 and February 1977. His other credits include Doctor Who, The New Avengers, Citizen Smith and My Family.
