Kaasage Tachinai was also able to utilize this technique by substituting the Mizukage's summon for his reanimated shinobi; in this case Kōri Uōkā who could replicate the mist with the Hiding in Mist Technique. After Kōri was replaced by Nagano Hisomeru, Kaasage would utilize Gan Kanja for the same technique. Other users of this technique, have surpassed the need for a summon or medium, and create the mist themselves through this jutsu. In some cases, it isn't even mist, but a substitute.
