The 1960 Southern 500 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Darlington Speedway on September 5, 1960. Buck Baker led 175 of the 364 laps in route to a twenty-five second victory, Baker's second and final victory of the year. Eventual season champ Rex White finished 2nd. Stats
