The Dreadstar was a battleship used by Rae Sloane early in her career with the Galactic Empire. On one occasion, Sloane stopped on the ninth moon of Tilth to refuel the Dreadstar at a floating depot on the Sea of Carawak, and both she and her battleship were caught in a storm that turned the sea monstrous.
