Kurt Chill (1 May 1895 – 5 July 1976) was a highly decorated German general, commanding troops on both the Eastern Front and against the Western Allies during World War II. He escaped the Soviet Red Army in 1945, only to be captured by the British. He was held until 1947. After his release, he retired to relative obscurity. Chill served during World War I. Between the wars, Chill retired from the army and became a police inspector.
