João Carlos Vilaça Teixeira (born 18 January 1993 in Braga) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Liverpool, as a midfielder. During 2011-12 UEFA Europa League, João Carlos was called up for Sporting's match against Lazio alongside his U-19 Sporting fellows Tiago Ilori (who was part of the starting 11), João Mário (who eventually played), Ricardo Esgaio and Betinho. He moved to Liverpool during 2011-12 winter transfer market.
