Immediately after the Battle of Denon, the retreating Golden Empire ships were forced to stop to make repairs to the fleet. Seizing the opportunity, the Republic and Empire (that's Galactic Empire, not to be confused with the Golden Empire) gathered a combined fleet to destroy as many GE ships as possible.
