The Policewoman was on duty at Weatherfield Police Station in the early hours of Christmas Day 1988, when Ken Barlow went there with Tracy to report Deirdre Barlow missing. The policewoman did not deal with Ken, encountering him only as she walked past him at the front desk as she escorted a teenage girl into a room. The policewoman asked the girl where she lived, to which the crying teen's reply was "my dad's going to kill me".
