Chris is a neighbour of [[:w:c:imagecomics:|Wanda Blake]]. He is first seen in [[:w:c:imagecomics:|Spawn #23]] and is revealed to have been an insurance adjuster for over 17 years. However, for 3 years during the mid-seventies, he did not file his income tax forms – and if anybody ever found this out – it would cripple him. This is why, despite his friendship with Wanda, the Mafia made certain she wouldn’t ‘squeal’ after the incident where [[:w:c:imagecomics:|Terry Fitzgerald]] was accused of the murder of two [[:w:c:imagecomics:|FBI]] agents on his front lawn.
