Work in progress The May 22, 2015 Central Florida tornado family was a deadly tornado family that hit the state of Florida. Six people were reported dead and 26 injured in the twisters. The tornadoes formed in Pinellas county and stayed on the ground until it reached Brevard and Volusia counties. Despite the long distances, the tornadoes did not go across the entire length of the state.
