The 2006 Neighborhood Excellence 400 was a Nextel Cup event held at Dover International Speedway on June 4, 2006. Matt Kenseth drove past Jamie McMurray with four laps to go after a thrilling thirty-lap duel, and Kenseth held off McMurray by three-quarters of a second for the victory. Points leader Jimmie Johnson finished 6th and held a 74-point edge on Kenseth.
