Soshi Kenzan was a young Scorpion shugenja who accused as murderer of Matsu Gihei, a prominent Lion general during the War Against Fu Leng. The Kitsu Sodan Senzo summoned Gihei's spirit to testify against Kenzan, who was executed for his crime. After punishment was exacted, the Soshi revealed that Matsu Gihei was still alive, and had been held hostage by the Soshi for several months. The Emperor Hantei Genji decreed that kami could not be used as arbitrators of human law anymore, and punished the Scorpion for their deception. It was unknown how the Kitsu magic was twisted.
