Junior was the unofficial name for the cosmozoan lifeform the USS Enterprise-D encountered en-route to Doctor Leah Brahms' scheduled stop at the Guemica outpost. Junior was a member of the Gekli species. The entity had been born motherless in the Alpha Omicron system in 2367 and mistook the energy signature of the Galaxy-class starship as a feeding source. This apellation was coined by chief engineer Geordi La Forge, but was quickly overruled by Captain Picard.
