Simplicity Designer's Pattern 8176. ca. 1949 Dress. Misses' 1-PC Afternoon & Street Dress. A band extending from the back shoulder and continuing to the waist in front and a buttonhole pocket in which a lace handkerchief may be worn accents the bodice. Three-quarter sleeves are cut in one with the front and set-in in the bodice back. A buttonhole and button accent the point of the front band which extends over the back shoulder. The skirt side front boasts a drape which is a continuation of the bodice band. Version B has short sleeves and three buttonholes and buttons which accent the bodice front instead of the pocket and handkerchief as in Version A. Purchased rounded shoulder pads, and belt. 11 pattern pieces.
