The Omega Gaila was a cargo transport ship. The ship was used by the Galactic Empire to transport containers of ammunition from the Regional Naval Supply Area near Gall, to the Death Star I while it was under construction at Despayre. One particular shipment contained a cargo of high-explosives that had been rigged to detonate onboard the Death Star by Rebel agents. However, this shipment was diverted to the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Undauntable, which was destroyed instead.
