S-Ipsus was a small sub-city located on the planet Genarius, which orbited the floating city Ipsus. The sub-city was operated by the company Naescorcom as a research station, and it contained a thermal detonator production line. During the Clone Wars, the Believers—a Sith-worshipping cult—established a secret laboratory on S-Ipsus, in which they refined a dangerous virus that they planned to use to wipe out the Caarite species. However, the Metatheran Cartel learned of the existence of the Believer laboratory and a team of Cartel operatives subsequently traveled to S-Ipsus and assaulted the Believer facility.
