Inspector Fortescu Farquar is the head of the New York City Department of Missing Birds. He appeared in A Sesame Street Mystery: The Case of the Missing Rara Avis, the first Sesame Street Live stage show. Inspector Farquar is a good-hearted but bumbling policeman, who tries to rescue Big Bird from Phineas T. Barnswallow. Daniel Nanni recorded Farquar's voice and performed him on stage in the first touring cast. The Inspector also appeared in interview segments for local television.
