Bhikkhuni Mudita (1962- ) was born in Germany. She owes her introduction to the Dhamma to Dr. Sylvia Kolk. In 1999 she became an aspirant and on 3.10.2000 she obtained the Samaneri ordination in the Forest Monastery Metta Vihara. After two years of travelling and orientation in Sri Lanka, India and Germany, she returned to Metta Vihara in 2002. She spent the Rains Retreat 2003 in Myanmar. On 11.12.2004 she received the Bhikkhuni Ordination in Los Angeles, intensifying her urgent wish for a well-grounded training. She is currently residing at Anenja Vihara, Rettenberg, Germany.
