[Source] The Tusken language pack was a commercial piece of software for protocol droids which enabled them to acquire the Tusken language, the language used by the Sand People of Tatooine, widely held to be very difficult to master. It was traded during the Clone Wars, a major galactic conflict fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems between 22 to 19 BBY. 3PO-series protocol droids were compatible with the program.
