The rune mechanical crossbow is an item that can be used only after a player has completed the dwarven quest series, and requires 70 Ranged and 50 Strength to wield. This is the strongest, yet slowest, of all two-handed ranged weapons, only beating the dark bow by .2 seconds in attack time. It is speculated that the strength requirement is because of it's weight, however, this is unconfirmed.
