"Doggin' Around" is a 1960 single originally performed by Jackie Wilson. Reaching both the R&B and pop singles charts in the U.S., "Doggin' Around" hit number one on the Hot R&B Sides chart for three weeks and peaked at number fifteen on the Billboard Hot 100. The B-side of the single was "Night", a song based on the Saint-Saƫns' Samson & Delilah aria, My Heart at Thy Sweet Voice. The B-side made the top five on the R&B and pop charts. Doggin' Around is also the title of a 1994 BBC Screen One production written by Alan Plater, and was later used as the title of Plater's autobiography.
