The Battle of the Xeal system was an attack by the Nami pirates on an Imperial Navy task force in 1 BBY. The pirates, supplied by the Alliance to Restore the Republic and aided by Alliance volunteer pilots, attacked ships in the Xeal system to draw out the Imperials. The 982nd Imperial Fighter Wing was deployed with three Assassin-class corvettes. After the intervention of an Immobilizer 418 cruiser, the Empire was triumphant.
