Manvers Township was located west of Lindsay and forms the western border of Victoria County. In 2001, all of the municipalities of Victoria County were amalgamated to create the new City of Kawartha Lakes, and the Mariposa Township Fire Department became Stations 10 and 11 of the Kawartha Lakes Fire & Rescue Service.
