Bug Catching is an activity in Harvest Moon 3DS: A New Beginning. You are able to catch bugs and frogs while exploring the outdoor areas of the village. Critters can be sold or given as gifts. Each time a new critter is caught, they will be added to your critter list in the farming notebook. There are nine types of of critters you can catch and a combined total of 96 different creatures in all. Some critters sell for more money than others, depending on their rarity.
