Alec Richards (born on June 29, 1987 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota) is an American goaltender playing for the Rockford IceHogs. He played Tier II Junior "A" for the Indiana Ice in 2004-05. He then played for Yale University from 2005 to 2009. Undrafted by the NHL, he was signed as a free agent by the Chicago Blackhawks in June 2009.
