The drillarians are a species of octopus-like amphibians from the Achiara System, within the stellar cluster of Ardustaar. Their spacefaring was sparse before a being dubbed as "Pirate Regent" took absolute control of Drillaria, after capturing a stranded cargo ship from Ardustaar. After several years of costly raids against the Kartanin Dominion as well as the Black Star Confederacy, the Pirate Regent was ultimatively defeated at the Battle of Drillaria. The drillarians were liberated from his rule and accepted into the Dominion. Today, they actively support the Kartanin Warfleet, both with vessels of their own and personnel on other ships.
