The USS Intrepid (NCC-74600) was a Federation starship in the late 24th century, and prototype for the Intrepid-class. In the early 2370s, the vessel served as a testbed for many new technologies. The Intrepid was launched from Earth Station McKinley on 04 November 2370 (stardate 47845.2), under the command of Captain Terrance Riley. She was assigned to Demilitarized Zone patrol in early 2371.
