The Chicago 8 was the term given to a Yippies-associated group of defendants in the US courts. They were Abbie Hoffman, Rennie Davis, Jerry Rubin, John Froines, David Dellinger, Lee Weiner, Tom Hayden and Bobby Seale. Seale, a co-founder in 1966 of the Black Panther Party, was excluded from YIP later and the defendants became known as the Chicago 7. This article is a stub.
