An interstellar phenomena forecast was a report which provided information on the movement and location of interstellar phenomena, such as passing pulsars. In 2376, Federation space station Deep Space 9 predicted that a pulsar would pass close to the MIDAS array. By firing a tachyon beam at the pulsar, Pathfinder Project was able to create a micro-wormhole through which they made contact with USS Voyager, 30,000 light years away in the Delta Quadrant, for a brief period.
