The UNSC Titanic is the largest warship ever built, so large it was claimed to be indestructible. It was sent into battle on April 10, 2552 to engage the Covenant at the Battle of Fumirole. On April 15, 2552, it struck an asteroid that punched a hole through the ship's hull, disabling the airlocks as well as the autopilot, shutting down the ship's AI in the process. Everyone on board the Titanic soon passed out or suffocated, and the ship plummeted down and crashed on the surface of Fumirole. The destruction of the ship caused the UNSC force to lose the upper hand they initially had, causing them to take many casualties before the battle was over later in the month.
