Kir was a male Klingon in the 23rd century, in the 2250s he served in the Klingon Defense Force, and was assigned as a bridge officer aboard the IKS Varchas under Commander Kaaj in 2254. Whilst on a mission in the Marrat Nebula Kir had the gall to question Kaaj's bravery; he paid for this insolence instants later when Kaaj plunged Kir's head into his console leaving him with severe facial scaring.
