Modo, Master of Mercury, invades during a mummer's parade set for December 31, 1952. He coordinates with Boss Kipley to time the invasion with Kipley's gang robbbing a bank, while Modo's force attacks an armory to gain weapons. Modo is a Mercurian Mud Man. He brings with him one of the Jupiter Jumping Jacks, a single representation of Stone Men from Saturn, and Thark, a Venusian Viper-Man.
