Mere seconds after witnessing Diane get shot, Gibbs saw Sergei and rushed down to the lower area of the parking garage, arriving into a lower neighborhood where he witnessed Sergei heading for a waiting SUV. Gibbs attempted to fire back at Sergei, only for Sergei and his goons to escape in an SUV with Gibbs later firing off a shots that damaged the vehicle. This would later lead to a second confrontation between the two men which ended with Mishnev escaping after one of Mishnev's henchmen knocked Gibbs unconscious while Gibbs was in the process of strangling Mishnev.
