Jinzu was a bandit outrider under the command of Kobuta. In 1165 his gang came to the village of Juujiro Mura, Crossroads Village, to ask the villagers tribute they would not afford. Two other villages had been already razed when they could not pay the quantity they would ask. He was killed by an arrow fired by Ikoma Fujimaro, who with six other samurai defended the village from the bandits.
