The Sixty-Second Soviet Government saw the re-election of Green, marking the fifth consecutive socialist government. No other parties fielded a candidate leading Lego to run as a catch-all opposition. The debate before the election displayed some of the serious divisive issues facing the Soviet Federation. Green was able to win based on experience and the fact that while Lego represented dissent he did not have any concrete strategies to bring the federation forward.
