The Minnesota Vikings are a professional football franchise that plays in the North Division of the American Football League, one of the three major football leagues in the United States. As of 2011, they have won five AFL championships (1970, 1973, 1991, 1993 and 1994) and are the fourth-winningest franchise of all time. The Vikings play their home games at the 3M Vikings Coliseum in St. Paul, Minnesota, previously playing at Minneapolis Municipal Field until their new stadium opened in 2000. The Vikings are currently owned by the Pawlenty family, and are coached by George Wales.
