YV-560 freighters had room for 5 passengers and 2 crew, with approximately 40 tons of cargo space and enough food storage for 8 months. Its compartmentalized cargo bays could be individually sealed by bulkheads in case of serious damage to the ship. YV-560 operators could easily survey planets from orbit, due to the long-range sensor capabilities of the numerous antennae in its prow. The YV-560 also featured a dorsal mounted twin medium cannon, a powerful onboard scientific computer, a class 2 hyperdrive, and a class 15 backup hyperdrive.
