The October 2008 General Election took place on 16/10/2008 following the dissolution of parliament at the end of the 4th Pokemaniac John Government. Voters from across Ostentia took part in the electoral process, voting for both a prime ministerial candidate and a parliamentary candidate. The election was controversial as a large number of parties failed to register their prime ministerial candidates in time for the vote. Many parliamentary candidates also failed to appear on the ballot.
