Captain James Calhoun is a sea-captain and the main villain of The Five Orange Pips. Sherlock Holmes discovers that he is the head of a branch of the Ku Klux Klan seeking revenge against the family of Elias Openshaw, but too late to either save his client or arrest Calhoun, who perishes in a squall on the Atlantic Ocean.
